International
At the heart of our mission lies a small and diverse international collective, comprised of political analysts, media experts, business innovators, and philanthropists hailing from the United States, Israel, the UAE and Canada, led by Yaakov Katz, a veteran author and journalist, and co-chaired by Amb. Tom Nides, Amb. David Friedman, Amb. Dennis Ross and former Deputy National Security Advisor Elliott Abrams.
United by a shared conviction, MEAD is funded by a group of unaffiliated, apolitical donors, who believe that fostering new, impactful discussions between the US and the Middle East is essential for enhancing stability and promoting pragmatic dialogue.
Our group is driven by the understanding that in a rapidly changing global landscape, traditional approaches to diplomacy and dialogue often fall short. Recognizing this, we aim to catalyze a fresh wave of discourse that transcends conventional boundaries, encouraging solutions that are both creative and effective. Through our collective expertise and experiences, we seek to create a platform where leaders and influencers can collaborate, share insights, and pave new paths towards mutual understanding and cooperation.
In doing so, we are committed to not only addressing current challenges but also anticipating future opportunities, ensuring that the dialogue we promote is forward-thinking and inclusive. By leveraging our unique blend of perspectives, we aspire to make a lasting contribution to the prosperity of the Middle East and beyond, setting a new standard for international collaboration and exchange.
